With 14 years of experience as a Zumba instructor, my journey in dance began at the age of 8 in a local amateur dramatics group in Devon, England.
Zumba has given me so much to be grateful for—boosting my self-esteem, improving my fitness, and introducing me to a wonderful community of people who I now proudly call friends.
The pandemic opened up new possibilities for me, allowing me to create live and recorded videos that you can enjoy from the comfort of your home. Now, after many years, I am excited to return to my roots— MUSICAL THEATRE, TAP , FLAMENCO, I can't wait to share my extensive dance knowledge with you!
Whether you’re dusting off your old tap shoes or finally checking off that bucket list item by trying a new style of dance, this is your chance to have fun in a relaxed and welcoming environment. I promise you won’t regret it—your only regret will be if you don’t give it a try! Join me, and let’s dance together!
Zoe's Story.... by Roundabout Newspaper Hurstbridge.
Zoe's journey into the world of dance began at a local ballet school, where her natural talent shone through. Before long, she was accepted into a prestigious vocational dance boarding school in the UK,
Zoe excelled in her studies, earning Honours, distinctions, and a bursary for her grades in modern, tap, flamenco, ballet, drama, and musical theatre. These formative years not only honed her dance skills but also instilled in her a sense of resilience and determination that she carries and has shaped her into the teacher she is today.
From dancing in theatres in London to captivating audiences on cruise ships and in cabaret shows, Zoe's love for cabaret numbers and musical theatre grew exponentially.
Fifteen years have passed since Zoe completed a Cert 3 in fitness and taught her first Zumba class in Australia, and she remains grateful for the opportunity to earn a living through her passion for dance. What truly sets Zoe's heart on fire is the dance community she is a part of—a community brimming with positivity, kindness, and boundless energy. Teaching Zumba Gold classes for adults has allowed Zoe to witness the transformative power of dance firsthand, where worries are left at the door and joy is found on the dance floor.
Now, Zoe is embarking on an exciting new chapter, diving headfirst into a brand-new adventure with a Musical Theatre workshop, designed to lure in singers from the community and get them joining in on the fun of performing Arts.
Over the years, Zoe has organised unforgettable theatre outings that kick off with delectable pre-show lunches, fostering enduring friendships that have become the heartbeat of her community.
“My dancing community is truly exceptional, each member bringing their own unique magic. As their teacher, I am humbled by their passion and dedication - they are the ones who make it all possible”
And let's not forget the highlight of the year – Zoe's Christmas Garden party in Arthurs Creek. It's a daytime delight of shared plates, clinking bottles, and toe-tapping entertainment, that will have you dancing in the sunshine.
After all, why should only kids have all the fun?
